There are literally hundreds of simple, inexpensive available activities for toddlers. Many studies have shown that the more occupied a toddler is kept, the better they will behave. There is nothing worse than a toddler crying constantly, and activities are meant to keep them busy and happy.

Firstly, picture books are a great activity for toddlers. You can find very cheap picture books online, and possibly even in bulk. Since your toddler can obviously not read yet, there is nothing more amusing to them than pictures. Try to buy some of the classics, as these have proven to be great books with toddlers in the past. Put these books in front them, and watch as they look amazed by the colors and such.

The park – right up there as one of the best activities for toddlers. Toddlers can have a lot of energy, and it is important for them to burn it off so they can get good nights sleep. Take them to the park, but be sure to supervise them at all times. At the park, they will see other children, and also have a chance to interact with them. You can even put them on the small swings and push them. Once again though, never let your toddler out of your sight. Given you take the proper precautions, the park is one of the greatest activities for toddlers.

Some may disagree with this, but it has been proven to keep toddlers occupied for hours. If you have an old gaming console, set it up with an old TV. Give the game controller to your toddler, and sit back. For some reason, even though toddlers do not know what is going on, they find the games extremely amusing, and will sit for hours “pretending to play”. Another one of the great activities available for toddlers – allowing them to keep occupied, and burn off some energy with those small hands of theirs at the same time.

As you can see, there are many great activities for toddlers, and most are quite inexpensive, while some are even priceless. It is important to keep your toddler busy with activities, or else they will grow bored, and in turn not be able to sleep easily at night. On the other hand, keeping your toddler busy with activities will allow them to sleep easily and peacefully at night, giving you, the parents, a better night’s sleep.
